China denounces U.S. suppression of Chinese high-tech firms

Chinese FM denounces Pompeo's assertion of failure of engagement with China

ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, said Friday in a statement that Washington's ban on the popular app has started a dangerous precedent violating the freedom of expression and the open-market principle, and it will "pursue all remedies available ... if not by the Administration, then by the U.S. courts."

U.S. arms sales to Taiwan seriously breach the three China-U.S. joint communiques, especially the August 17 Communique, severely undermine China's sovereignty and security interests, and gravely violate basic norms of international relations, said Wang. "China firmly opposes this."

He shot videos to chronicle all that transpired during China's anti-epidemic fight. He filmed people screening temperatures in markets and sterilizing car tires before entering into the community, and personnel disinfecting elevators. He uploaded the clips on social media platforms.
