On the relations with China, despite Pompeo's botched attempt to sow discord, Babis said that the Czech Republic "seeks lines with the European Union and there's no fundamental problem here."
Aleksandar Paunov, first secretary of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Bulgaria, said the recent positions and statements issued by some U.S. politicians are outright provocations which must be strongly condemned.
"Hopefully, our American friends could have a really better understanding of the realities in our region, could really understand our concern, our perception, and what we need, what the people in the region really need, and could refrain from taking any action to take advantage of any disputes in the region or even escalate the situation," he said.
The United States should genuinely eliminate the prejudice and hatred some of its political forces harbor, abandon the Cold War mentality and zero-sum game mindset, respect Hong Kong affairs as China's internal affairs, and stop using HKSAR as a ground for secession, subversion, infiltration and sabotage against China.
The anti-China forces in the United States have long been concocting rumors and fabricating accusations, blatantly meddling in Hong Kong affairs under the pretext of human rights, democracy and autonomy.
